Wikipedia could generate millions in advertising revenue annually. Why do you forego it?

Wikipedia lives from the community and our mission: A free encyclopedia for everyone in their own language. We are primarily concerned with the creation process. All organizations follow the money. Wikipedia remains true to its mission so that the next billion people can use the encyclopedia.
